Markus Мetschitzer joined the payments team of DG FISMA in June 2021. He started his career in the Austrian Ministry of Finance. As Financial Services Attaché, he was involved in the negotiations on PSD2 and all dossiers related to financial services for almost seven years. Before joining the European Commission, he worked in the private sector and the Single Resolution Board.
