Philipp Rösler

Philipp Rösler, former Vice Chancellor of Germany, joined the Acronis Board of Directors in May of 2021, and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in politics, technology, and economics to Acronis.

Philipp served as the Federal Minister of Health from 2009-2011 and as Federal Minister of Economics and Technology and as the Vice Chancellor of Germany from 2011 to 2013. Additionally, during that time, Philipp was the Chairman of the liberal Free Democratic Party (FDP) from 2011 to 2013. In January 2014, Philipp became a member of the Managing Board and Head of the Centre for Regional Strategies of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Switzerland. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for a number of prominent companies, including Brainloop, Lakestar, Enmacc, Loc Troi Group.

Born in Vietnam, Philipp was the first cabinet minister of Asian background in Germany. He also has a PhD in heart surgery.
